The terms that apply when you buy from or work with Bristol Appliance Centre.
About these terms
These terms apply when you buy appliances from us, or book us to deliver, install or repair them. Please read them before you order. If anything is unclear, ask us and we will explain.
Bristol Appliance Centre is run by Bristol Appliance Centre Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 15476646. Our VAT number is GB497624637. Our registered office and showroom are at Unit 5b, Advantage Park, 75 Whitchurch Lane, Bishopsworth, Bristol, England, BS13 7TE.

Quotes and orders
Our quotes include VAT and say exactly what is included, such as the appliance, delivery, installation and removal of your old one.
Your order is accepted when we confirm it to you in writing, by email or on a printed order. That is when the contract between us starts.
If you find an appliance we sell cheaper elsewhere, our price match promise sets out when we will match it.
Paying for your order
Payment for appliances, and for any services that go with them, is taken when you place your order. We accept bank transfer (BACS) and most major credit and debit cards.
The appliances remain ours until they have been paid for in full.
Delivery
We will agree a delivery date with you when you order. Next-day delivery is normally available, but it depends on stock, so the date we confirm is the one that counts. We deliver Monday to Saturday, between 7:30 AM and 6 PM.
Someone aged 18 or over needs to be at the property. Please tell us before delivery about anything that affects access, such as stairs, narrow doorways or parking restrictions, and make sure the space for the appliance matches the measurements you gave us.
If we cannot deliver because nobody is in, or the access or space is not as described, we will arrange a new date.
The appliance is your responsibility once it has been delivered.
Installation
Installation is carried out by our own team. Gas appliances are connected by Gas Safe registered engineers.
Our installation price assumes the existing water, waste, gas and electrical connections are in place, in working order and in the right position. If we find they need extra work, we will tell you what is needed and what it costs before we do anything. We will not carry out extra work without your agreement.
Where we have agreed to, we will take your old appliance away and send it for recycling.
Your right to cancel
If you order away from our showroom, for example by phone, email, through this website or at your home, the law gives you 14 days to change your mind:
- For appliances, the 14 days start on the day they are delivered. Let us know within that time and we will refund you within 14 days of getting the appliance back.
- For installation and repair work, the 14 days start on the day we accept your order. If you ask us to start the work within that time, you will pay for any work already done.
The right to cancel does not apply to items made or ordered to your own specification, such as made-to-measure kitchens. You may also get less back if an appliance has been used or damaged beyond what was needed to check it.
If you order in our showroom, the law does not give you an automatic right to cancel. We also offer a 30-day cancellation, return and exchange policy, which goes further than the law requires. The details are below.
Cancelling does not affect your rights if something is faulty.
Our 30-day cancellation, return and exchange policy
If you are not happy with your appliance, or you have changed your mind, you can cancel, return or exchange it within 30 days. To cancel an order and arrange a collection, call us on 0117 440 7224.
Charges for collecting an item will apply. On the morning of the collection we will give you an estimated time slot, and someone needs to be at the pick-up address. If our driver arrives in that slot and nobody is there, we may charge a further collection fee.
If the appliance comes back unused and in its complete original packaging, so that we can resell it as new, you will get a full refund. You are welcome to unpack it to look it over, but please take care. If it has been used or installed, or handled more than is needed to inspect it, we may only be able to give a part refund, or charge you for the loss in value.
If you want to exchange an item, we will collect the old one when we deliver the new one. The usual delivery charge applies, but there is no extra collection charge.
We will refund you within 14 days of collecting the item. Any collection charge will be taken off the refund. If you cancel within the 14-day legal cancellation period, we will also refund the standard delivery charge you paid.
If you added extra services to your order, we cannot refund them if you cancel after delivery and the services have already been done. If you cancel before delivery, they are cancelled and refunded.
If something is faulty
Your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply to everything we sell and fit. Appliances must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and our work must be done with reasonable care and skill.
If an appliance is faulty, tell us as soon as you can. Within 30 days of delivery you can ask for a refund. After that, we will repair or replace it, and if that does not fix the problem you may be entitled to a refund or a price reduction.
Most appliances also come with a manufacturer’s guarantee. This is on top of your legal rights, not instead of them.
Repairs and spares
We will tell you our call-out charge before we visit. If a repair needs parts we do not have with us, we will give you a price before we order them.
Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms or are careless, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.
If you buy from us as a business, we are not responsible for loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.
Complaints and the law
If you are unhappy with anything we have done, please contact us first and we will do our best to put it right. Email hello@bristolappliancecentre.co.uk, call 0117 440 7224 or write to us at Unit 5b, Advantage Park, 75 Whitchurch Ln, Bishopsworth, Bristol BS13 7TE.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts there.
