Schock appliances in Bristol
The original quartz composite sink
The German company that invented the granite composite sink in 1979 and still makes every one in Regen, Bavaria. Hard-wearing, colour-fast bowls in a wide palette, with taps to match.
About Schock
SCHOCK was founded in 1924 in the Bavarian Forest, and in 1979 it produced the first sink made from quartz composite: crushed quartz bound in resin and moulded as a single seamless piece. Every quartz composite sink on the market descends from that idea, and SCHOCK still makes its own in Regen, Germany.
The current material, CRISTADUR, is smooth enough to wipe clean, resists scratches, staining and heat from pans, and comes in colours from bright white through greys and stone to matt black, with metallic and green variants in the newer ranges. Bowls can be undermounted, inset or flush-fitted, in single, one-and-a-half and double formats, most with a colour-matched tap.
We supply SCHOCK in the UK through The 1810 Company. A good choice when the sink has to match a worktop or a run of dark cabinetry rather than stand out in steel.
