One appliance, two compartments, in 50/50, 60/40 and 70/30 splits. American style models add water and ice, which needs a plumbed supply.
How it fits
Integrated, built-in or freestanding
The fit decides more than the brand does. Integrated models hide behind a kitchen door and follow the run of units. Built-in models sit in a housing with their own finished front. Freestanding models stand on their own and can move house with you.
- Integrated: your kitchen door fixes to the appliance, so hinges and door weight matter
- Built-in: sits in a tall or under-counter housing with its own front
- Freestanding: the widest choice, but it needs air space around it
- Undercounter: fits below a worktop, good for small kitchens and utility rooms
- Chest: the most frozen food per square metre, usually in a garage or outbuilding

Common questions
Worth checking before you order
How do I measure for an integrated fridge?
Measure the housing, not the appliance: internal height, width and depth, plus the size of the door going on the front. A photo of the run of units helps as well. We confirm what fits before anything is ordered.
Can the door be changed to open the other way?
On most freestanding models, yes, and we do it as part of the install. Some models are fixed, so tell us which way you need it to open and we will check while we are quoting.
Will you take the old fridge away?
Yes. Disconnecting the old appliance, removing it and taking the packaging with us is part of the standard service.
Can I switch it on straight away?
Not immediately. A fridge or freezer that has been moved or laid down needs to stand upright for a few hours first, so the coolant settles. We will tell you on the day how long to leave it.
